100 mile challenge

Recommended Posts

Hey folks. Did my fastest ever 10k this morning... 63 minutes. Plus I ran an additional 2.5 miles back and forth to the car.... That's how far away I had to park. So day 23 is 8.7 miles.... Which is 102 total. Thrilled to have made my goal with a week to keep adding to it. Thanks to all of y'all that joined in and inspired me. Keep pushing. We are all gonna make it.

Clap clap clap clap!!!

Walked a mile today, 26 miles total. I don't think I'll make 100 this month but I'm going to keep challenging myself each month until I do!!! If I can get 40 or 50 this month then maybe Oct I'll get 80 and by November I'll get 100!

Once again I didn't get in a bike ride today but I did get in 2.67 miles walking. That puts me at 85.7 for the month. My goal for the end of the weekend was 90 miles. I will definitely be riding tomorrow if I want to make that.

Great job everyone! We are almost there! Keep up the great work!

Great job. Yep that's the whole idea. Just to keep challenging yourself to do a little more. Pushing that comfort zone is what releases the best in all of us.

Come on Laura, we will do this together. I have 32 miles to go or about that. We're supposed to have great weather here this week, and I have no deployments scheduled in the evening. I have had my grandchildren from Friday through Sunday and Monday evening. I went out a bought a bike trailer so I could ride and take them along.

You can do it too. I like your new profile picture also.

Tonight sunset was at 7 p.m. so the days are getting shorter. After end of October I will only be able to ride on the weekend since I will be dark by the time I get home from work.

But really I'm going to get my butt out there everyday until its done!

We are looking at a new bike ( Ibis mojo) tomorrow for me, but it will need to be built. So I'm still riding a bigger one..

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
