Hi shellbell1007 i took loose clothing for going home, 2 sets of pj's (pants and button down shirts) i took undies, sports bras, tooth brush, tooth paste, socks, slippers, my own pillow for the ride home, deodarant, chapstick, lotion for after surgery, gas-x strips, a pack of wipes, soap, one of my soft perfume sprays, i even took a little bit of makeup lol, all my paperwork, my wallet, insurance cards, but honestly all i didn't use my pj's they had me in the hospital gowns all the time i did use the undies, slippers, tooth brush even though they gave me one but i gave it to my daughter who stayed with me, i didn't use the deodarant or perfume just because my sence of smell was all over the place every kind of smell bothered me i did use the gas x strips, i did use the wipes, i couldn't take a shower so i had to use small towels to cleanse myself with the soap they gave me, chapstick was a must my mouth and lips felt really dry, i had the hospital socks on the ones with the rubber bottom so i didn't even use my slippers or socks although i did wear them home with my own cloth, and i used the pillow for the 1 hour drive home so you really don't need much well atleast i didn't and the reason why i didn't change into my pj's was because the nurses and doctors kept coming in my room literally every 15-30 minutes to take my vitals to do my heprin shots on my thighs to check my drain, catheter and insicions so it would've been hard to wear pants because they needed to have access to my legs and stomache.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
