Is the GAS Pain bad for everyone? Tips on what can help?

I am working on getting the LB for Feb/March. And I have been reading from here that a lot of you have had really bad Gas Pain. If you have had it, could you tell me any tips on how to help with Gas Pain. I already get gas pretty easy so I am worried about having it really bad after the LP is put in.

The gas pain for me was just during the few days after surgery. The ONLY thing that helped was walking A LOT!! Good luck!!

Well yesterday I had my first episode w/ the gas pain and it was very uncomfortable. Surby is right walking REALLY helps! Even though I walked on the treadmill I was still in a little pain, but I feel much better this morning. I was up during the night trying to get rid of it. I hope it goes away completely. Hope this helps.

Yeah, the worst for me was the 1st three days. It is definitely true about the walking. I also took a heating pad and gas x strips worked well for me.

Hi 2boys2cute,

I am looking to be banded in Mexico by Dr. Ortiz around mid March. The gas pains are something that has been worrying me also. I had that problem after my hysterectomy that was also laparoscopically done. It got better in a few days thank goodness. I also get gas really easily and I really hope I can get out of me quick...lol

Peace,

Judy

p.s. almost forgot to ask, where are you getting banded?
