I'd say you're an official mountain-biker now that you have the scars :)

Lol! I was just thinking that being morbidly obese was dangerous for me...

But now getting healthy is going to kill me! :P

OUCH!! Glad you are ok. I had a nasty spill one time while test riding a bike I was thinking about buying. The chain broke when I shifted gears and wound up in the rear wheel. They were shocked at the store when I walked back up with the bike and was bloody. Needless to say, they did't care about the bike...just me. I guess if I was thinking right I could have gotten a deeeep discount on that bike...lol

Maybe so but you'll be hot and sexy right up until the day you ride your bike into one of those redwood trees.

Lol! Yes I think I need more practice before doing crazy downhill single track again.

Oh my shifting is getting better though.

And as hard as the uphill is its not as scary as barreling down (And over the handle bars) :P

Laura' date=' glad you're not hurt too bad. Wait until you switch to a road bike and start riding clipped in. There is a learning curve. I fell on day two and rolled in a ditch and didn't clip out. My ankle to this day still acts up sometimes. It was 101 yesterday and felt like 98 today. Shooting for 20 miles in the a.m. tomorrow.[/quote']

Oh and 20 miles! That's awesome! I will be with you in spirit, while I nurse my boo boos!
