I am still on Clear Liquids and Protein Shakes ONLY until tues then I can start yogurt, cream of Soups, and even purées. Wondering if I am not getting enough calories and my bodies thinks its in starvation mode- thus the stall?? I have been following my doctors plan to the tee!

Had my surgery on the 19th. 1 week post op and feeling great!! 11 pounds down this week, almost 30 pounds total since I started the pre op diet. Only had pain for the first 12 hours and has been no problem since. I haven't had any pain meds since the night of my surgery. I have my follow up this wed the 28th. I hope to start adding some pureed and soft foods shortly. Hope everyone is progressing as well as I feel!!

Aw man! You guys are doing great! I'm on Day 4 post-op and I'm exhausted and really, really sore. It feels like I did 100s of sit ups. Honestly, losing weight is the least of my worries - I just want to feel better.... (I had no complications at all...)

Sleeved on August 6th. I am able to eat pureed foods for almost one week now. But I am never hungry. I don't want to eat at all and when I do I am so gassy and umcomfortable after that I just don't want the hassle. I am walking around the block immediately after eating, which helps to move the gas up. I have slowed down and taken small bites with lots of chewing but probably need to slow down even more. I am not drinking before eating and trying to stay away for at least 30 minutes after (old habits die hard!)... I am not regretting my decision but having a hard time coping... maybe a little whiney venting will help change my attitude! I don't want to eat. I am having a hard time getting in any Protein let alone enough protein. I don't want my hair to fall out & I want to have some energy back. I have honestly tried almost every protein product on the market and I am finding that everything tastes so off to me that it makes me gag. Even my nose feels super-sensitive to smells and it is turning me off. I was never a sweet eater before but all of the sugar-free foods and drinks are so sickly sweet to me that I can't do it. I am deathly afraid of throwing up although I am feeling slightly nautious almost every time I eat anything. Anyone else having a hard time adjusting? Any tips? Especially tips for getting in protein.

Slowing down is key. GasX really helps too. I also get hiccups when I'm full, which is not pleasant. I really like the Muscletech protein from SAMs, more bang for the small amount you intake, plus if you use Water to make it, that counts toward Fluid goals too

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
