I'm 5 weeks post op and I have yet to start my monthly cycle. It's approx 2wks late. I wonder if my body is just in shock from the lack of calories? TIA

Mine is the opposite. Has anyone's cycle been extremely heavy since the sleeve?

If theres no chance you could be pregnant than maybe talk to your gyn it may just be from the trauma of your surgery to your body. Geez I used to be a lightweight bleeder but since my sleeve its like the flood gates opened so gross. Ughh I know TMI

Mine is the opposite. Has anyone's cycle been extremely heavy since the sleeve?

I got it 2 weeks early the first month. Came twice & heavy for the next 2 months. Then I missed it for 3 months. Then it returned to normal at 6 mons post op. saw GYN & was told it was due to the hormonal changes & trauma from the major procedure. Said to only be concerned if cycle last more than 10 days.

I have a Mirena IUD and don't really get a cycle anymore. Sometimes I will spot for one day a month. About 3 weeks post sleeve, I had a real period. The first in over a year. It was far more than spotting. I hope this isn't going to be my new normal.

I also have an IUD and no longer had a cycle....until I was sleeved! I've had 2 normal periods since being sleeved June 3. I hope they go away, it's the best part of having an IUD:)

Prior to WLS I had no cycle due to my IUD. After surgery, I had a regular cycle for about 5 months. Now I have light bleeding for 1/2day about every other month. It's been two years since my WLS.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
