Anyone have allergic reaction to steri strips?

I would love to hear if anyone has broken out from the glue or strips? How long did it take the strips to fall off? I am itching like crazy and they have tried Benadryl, Allegra, cream, and now a steroid shot today. Thanks for any advice.

Ps. I am eight days post op.

Luckily they listened & used dermabond on me which is itchy but not too bad.

It did lift off in 2 places & my dr put a real bandaid & yelled at me for my ghetto paper tape & cotton wipe home made bandaid. I got a rash still & that was on day 10 post op.

Back to homemade bandaids for me. Oddly, electrical tape doesnt make me break out so I've been using that too.
