Irregular menstrual cycles

Recommended Posts

I'm a little over 8 months post op, I'm currently on the pill, but my cycles are still so irregular, its soo annoying! I used to be regular on time every month. Is anyone else going through something similar?

I'm only about a month out but so far all over the place. Lots of random spotting too.

My surgeon said that it sometimes takes about 6 months to be regular again, but I'm well over 6 months now lol

I'm almost 8 months post-surgery. My first one after surgery was a week late. My third one after surgery was a week or so early. My most recent one was 8 days early.

I already have pretty short cycles (24 days) so this isn't great for me. I have a Paragard (non-hormonal) IUD.

I actually had my annual recently and will be going in for some further testing later this month to see if there's something going on. If they don't find anything, I'm going to have to go on hormones to help try and regulate things.

I am terrified what I will get... I have been irregular for years. I have a weight where I immediately go irregular and when I am under it I am regular. It scares me that I am going to be bombarded with them just to make up for it

I am 4 mo post op, and this just started in july, I had 3 periods, I am waiting to see if August is the same way before I seek medical help for it. Also, in July I began losing a lot of hair too. Between my periods and my Hair loss , I am bummed !!!

I'm only about 10 days out. I am not liking the sound of this... Ah, well, such is life. I have PCOS, so this shouldn't be new to me, only that my symptoms were usually the absence of the period...

I was taken off the pill while in the hospital after surgery. I had an early pseudo period that week (I had just had my normal period a week and a half before surgery). I will be 8 weeks out on Monday and have yet to have my period. I am extremely nervous though because the whole reason I started the pill way back when is because I got such severe cramping that I will literally get sick and vomit every month.

My cycle was crazy for 6 mons. Got it 2 days post op & it was weeks early. Missed it for 2 months. Got it twice in one month. Got it bad for 2-3 months lasting for 5 days, pre-op normal for me was 2 days total. Didn't get back to normal until 6 mons post op.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
