Mt. Pleasant Bandsters

Recommended Posts

Hi, Susan.....How are you? I'm still here. Just not losing any weight :angry. I sincerely hope that I get to my sweet spot soon. I guess I will eventually. I am just discouraged right now. I had several goals set for myself and I haven't even met one yet. Like I wanted to loose 50 before Easter. That wasn't too much. I had 4 months to do it and had already lost 15 or so before surgery. I wanted to be at least 65 pounds lighter by June 1. Still haven't even gotten close to the 50 much less the 65. I didn't think those were unrealistic, but I guess I was wrong. Yes, I am beating myself up. So, sorry for whinning.

hey don't be so hard on poor old lisa you will get there it just takes longer than we thought and it sure isn't as easy as i thought it would be but just remember with out our little friend we'd probably be up 40 instead of down 40

Yeah, but our little friend needs to take a little more active involvement with their end of the agreement. I have things that I want to do and my friend has continued be a silent partner. I have to admit, I can here it whispering sometimes. Depends on what day it is. So, I'm thinking I just need a little fill this time. I will have to wait a few more days to get it so, I guess I'll make it.

talk to you later,

lisa

I doubt that..... lol. Speaking of banded. I think I'm gonna ask Dr. H about the band he forgot to put on my brain. lol Na, to be honest, I think I just need to get back to th basics of all this. I think I have too much support group meeting information swimming around in my head. And I'm trying too hard to be the perfect bandster. I think I just need to eat when I'm hungry and not worry bout getting all that "stuff" done. What a surprise!!!! lol I just figgered it out. lol

yea i think just eating a lot less of what i used to eat is the way i want to loss the weight it may take a little longer but i don't think i will gain it back if i do it this way. i was so stupid when i got the band i didn't realize that dieting would be such a big isssue i just thought eating less would be enough!!!

it is so weird i still can not get on the noscales site!!!! i'm pretty sure dr h has banned this problem child LOL

hey you are really doing good with the weight loss i read somewhere if your bmi is below 40 you can not expect to loss more than 1-2 lbs a week. (in my case 1-2 per month)

am playing with 3-4lbs i loss during the week and then its week end and we go out to eat and i don't get all the h20 i need and on mon. i will be back up. i tell you for sure when i get to the 220's i am pretty sure you won't need to ck on lbt because you will hear me SHOUTTING!!!

have a good week end

lol I kinda doubt he has banded you from the site. I don't know if that's possible. lol I was just on it.

I don't know where you read that, but that's not very encouraging for someone that wants to lose 3 pounds a week. lol If I could just lose 2 pounds a week, that would make me happy. Well, I hope this tweak will do something.

Oh and by the way, if you didn't know it IT'S FRIDAY!!!

later,

Hi Mt. Pleasant,

I live in Omaha, Tx down the road and I would really like to join your group on Monday nights. I know it's at the hospital at 7 tomorrow but can you tell me where to go in the hospital to find the room. I hate to wonder around like a lost dog all evening. I probably won't be able to make every meeting but one once in a while might prove to be helpful to my lack of weight loss since I've had a fill. Thanks Linda

I'm going to try to go. I'm afraid to say for sure, everytime I say for sure, something happens. Take the visitors elevator to the ground floor and it's the second or third door on the left. (not far from the elevator)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
