I think the final decision would be between you and your surgeon....but my gut instinct would be ..........NOOOOOOOO!!!!

You don't need to calm your nerves down.........the docts will give you something for that. Relax, you have a long road ahead.

have a few cigs with my wine to calm the nervs down, before and after the banding?

All the info I have heard and read says you should not smoke before or after surgery. But, I would of course ask your doc.
