Any other newbies on this journey out there?? Had my sleeve on Tuesday, 7/16; so I'm 9 days out. Day 3 has been the worst so far. Think I possibly have temporary (I hope) lactose-intolerance as I'm struggling with some bowel issues; but beyond that, I feel very good. Not being hungry all the time is wonderful. Still hard to get in the habit of not drinking for 30 min. before; during; and 30 min. after eating. How is everyone else making out?

Hi Debbie,

Im right there with you I was sleeved on the 15th. I had a mental break down yesterday but that was due to PMS :/ any how its hard for me to get all the fluids down! My doc wants me to get 64oz. In this is extract hard for me. I have not yet met this goal. Congrats on your sleeve and good luck :)

I was sleeved July 10th. Best decision I've ever made. Mine had been very easy API far. I'm on pureed foods now but it's an odd feeling. Not good, not bad, just odd. I'm down 34lbs. I'm eagerly waiting for real food!

My big moment was watching my kids not finish their meal and me not bring able to. The mental part is/was the hard part for me. I hate watching them leave food.< /p>

July 22, only 3 days out....NO WAY near 64 oz, although my post op instructions are to "increase my fluids to a goal of 64 oz" I am at maybe 20 oz, I am "full" all the time and then I have to take Carafate, Actigall and Prevacid ....UGH!!! I did manage to suck on a calcium citrate today.

I had mine on July 9 and I struggled with eating because I wanted to chew something and I was on my menstrual cycle during my second week. Purée week was hell for me but now I am on soft foods and I fell better. Keep up the great work ladies

I was sleeved on July 15th and so far I am doing well. I am still struggling with my liquid goal of 80 ounces and Protein goal of 100grams

My problem is that I am still in liquid stage and I do from time to time have what i feel is hunger pains..I thought that would not happen for months.

July 3 here. Down 23 lbs and super excited by that! Hard to get in my liquid and Protein also! The Water is a little easier now but still have a tough time some days. Today is the first day I made it to 56grams of protein and I'll have a yogurt before bed putting me at my 60gram goal. Hate the Protein Shakes so much! Only can tolerate Syntrax Nectar fuzzy naval with orange juice. Everything else I have tried sux! Even the ones I liked preop I can't stand! I also hate every calcium citrate I've tried so far! Yuck!!!!!

Had my sleeve done on 7/22. Also had 2 hernias repaired (umbilical and hiatal) the 2nd day was the worst! Today I'm day 4 post op and feeling alright. Doctor has me in puréed food already. Had scrambled eggs and puréed ham for Breakfast and chicken salad for lunch less then an oz. I tried cottage cheese for dinner and my sleeve didn't like that too much. Decided to have a Protein Shake and it's taking me a while to finish but it tastes so yummy! Taking my Vitamins has been the hardest !

I so agree about the Calcium. I ordered a chewable from Celebrate, and I couldn't get it down. I went back and ordered a couple different flavors of a chewy calcium and I'm hoping for the best. Maybe I will get lucky and it will taste like a tootsie roll, what are the chances

Postoperative day 4 here. I'm not hungry and I don't have any craving but I'm having a hard time telling when I should stop. I don't want to over do it. I have had no complications. I've had 1 1/2 muscle milk, a bottle Water, and 1/4 cup coffee. Hope that is ok. I know I'm not getting my daily requirements but I don't want anything else. No problems taking my Vitamins.< /p>

I'm 4 days post op too. I thought I was doing really well getting all my fluids in but it turns out I'm really not. I don't ever really get a sensation of being hungry or full. The only thing I do get is if I've had too much I get what feels like heart burn but it comes and goes, isn't a constant ache.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
