Pre-op Liquid Diet: Sugar Free Torani Syrup O.K.? Spices?

Getting ready to start my two week pre-op liquid diet on Tuesday. Would it be ok to use sugar free Torani syrups to flavor the protein shakes? What about spices like cinnamon? Also, would protein ice cream (just the shakes frozen in an ice cream maker) be acceptable?

My instruction sheet says I'm allowed broth, sugar free popsicles, sugar free jello, crystal light and skim milk. Anyone? Diet starts tomorrow.

yes, all of that should be okay. Try the Eggface Web site for good protein shake "ice cream" recipes.

Just FYI, we tried diet cranberry something syrup from soda stream in our Protein shake--and ended up throwing it out and starting over. The Protein shake itself is so sweet that adding syrup made it sickly sweet. So I'd try with a smaller portion before you decide if you like it.

I think natural spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. may be better?
