Effects of Protein Shakes

I begin my 2-week pre-op diet on 7/29. I used the Atkins Protein shakes as Meal Replacements a few times this week to try them out. Now, I have been very gassy and bloated.

Has anyone had this problem with their shakes? Is there anything I could do to avoid gassiness and bloating during my pre-op diet?

I really like the EAS Advantedge shakes. They're 100-110 calories and have 17 grams of protein. The Café Caramel is amazing. The French Vanilla and Dark Chocolate are also delicious. The best part is..... no blender

Today I added some PB2 powder to my chocolate Protein shake and WOW! It was super yummy! If any of you have a sweet tooth you must try it.

Oooh great idea!

Wow! I haven't considered switching to soy. Thanks! We start pre-op the same day. What date is your surgery scheduled for?

How're you doing on your diet? My surgery is on the 13th =)

Sorry for the late reply, my brain is kinda scattered these days. I blame the lack of carbs lol
