Taste buds

I'm only 2 weeks out but certain things like cheese just taste disgusting. My protein shakes and protein shots which I could tolerate before sx are also disgusting. I'm in love with yogurt, refried beans and swordfish however!!!! I'm assuming the change in taste is normal.

I still like mostly the same things myself. Except, I always had a sweet tooth. I'd love a bite of chocolate, ice cream and put me in front of a brownie......YUM..but I was sleeved three months ago. I decided to have a mini snickers, ate half and thought *shrugs* it wasn't nearly as yummy as I wanted it to be! So, I haven't had a sweet since. Now.........give me a cracker...............

Yes, it is .... they will come back in time I was the same way and everythig was and is very sweet tasting.

Yes, perfectly normal. Many sleevers discover their tastes change. Before surgery I loved cheese, milk, and most any kind of Protein Drink. Post-op I can't do any Protein Shakes (they make me throw up), milk makes me throw up, and I can only tolerate mild cheeses (like a small pinch).

On the other hand I was not a fan of eggs pre-op but I've been able to at least keep egg whites down.
