MFP

Are there any tricks to making this easier? I am just learning to use this and I find it so time consuming.

There has to be an easier way.

do you measure and weigh your food before entering it? How do I know if the slice of cheese is the same amount of ounces as the one they give me when I type in cheese.

I really want to do this but truthfully, it's driving me nuts!

Hey Oregondaisy! Do you have a food scale? I weigh everything. It's probably not 100% but it's as accurate as I can get it. Once you use MFP for a while it gets easier. Especially if you a lot of the same stuff regularly.

I've entered a lot of the things I eat regularly in my favorites and no, I go by what a pkg says.ost things I have I "guesstimate" now EXCEPT meat, high calorie stuff and nuts! Fruit weighs more than I thought too. Like a cup of watermelon. I tend to under value calories so at first really ticky about it.

I find using the barcode reader invaluable. Idon'thave to type anything, maybe just adjust portion size.

I weigh it all too, or like with cottage cheese or something, I use a measuring cup. The 1/4 and 1/2 are well used!!! LoL

You'll get the hang of it and it will become second nature. Hang in there!
