Aw! Laura' date=' that is awesome! Non fast today, still saw 160 this morning *sighs* Had a lovely food day, plenty (sleeve plenty) of tasty food! Been nice to chew...lol Tomo I will do a semi fast day - lower than norm cal wise. Kinda works for me in between fast days![/quote']

Oh, but Coops, I remember when you were hoping to see 160 stay!! Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you, Tomorrow, you're only a day away!????

Coops you'll see the 150's soon! I know :)

I've been really good this week and have been pushing my fluids (90+oz) that always helps.

Yay Laura! I was 140 this am and I was bummed bc yesterday was a fast day. I'm hoping it's salt because I did have a handful of sunflower seeds that I had to shell.

Yesterday was a fast day but I had a really hard time. I really wanted to graze yesterday. Today seems to be the same way too. I made myself a cyrstal light hoping drinking will take away my cravings to snack.< /p>

Laura! Thats fantastic! I was the same today, which is good. There was a big party at school today, I did have some "snacks" but the damage is not to bad. Hey Laura, do I remember you saying you went Kayaking at Elkhorn Slough a while back? I am planning a kayak/birding trip in a couple of weeks and am thinking about Elkhorn as a possability... the other being Mono lake and surrounds....I'm buying a kayak tomorrow! I had better use it!

FYE yay for the scale!!

Yep elkhorn slough is great! And awesome bird (among other animals last time I even saw a ray) watching.

If you buy a kayak that is a must travel spot.

Good feast day yesterday, kept Protein high and carbs low. I had not done my exercise by 7pm but I gave myself a talking to and got on with it. So proud.

This morning I saw a new low on the scale I know it will more than likely bounce up again before my official weigh in on Monday am but at least I have seen it and I know it is waiting there for me.

So far so good today I have just cooked a full English Breakfast for the family I had sausage, egg, Beans and a small slice of toast (419 calories), I am stuffed and that will more than likely do me now until the evening meal.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

KNOWING that it will come again and STAY! I am still really amazed at 5:2! You know, losing my initial weight was really easy for me- unlike many of you - so this feeling of true accomplishment it is providing all of us is really exhilarating and freeing from those doubts of whether or not I Could Lose again! Congrats!!!

I hope my new low stays. I am bummed. I don't feel like I ate anything yesterday that would cause me to gain weight . I am back up to 141 this morning and my low since starting 5:2 was 139. I want to see that back but i am afraid i am going to have to eat like a fast day every day in order for it to stick.

Nope, you won't. Just eat "clean" and well with in your cal range. It will come and stay. Mine usually took about a week to week and a half to "stick" at each interval down! You got this!!

I didn't eat any garbage today and tomorrow I can work out. I am starting out my fast tomorrow with the attitude that the 130's are coming back. I am really going to try hard to make it to the gym every day this week.

Yay Laura! You're going to be in the 140's soon! We have the same goal weight.

Nice weekend, last one with youngest before he returns to uni next weekend. It has been a long summer though as he gets so much holiday (16 weeks). I will just get the house tidied and get used to my empty nest and he will be back- he has 3 x 8 week terms so he is here more than he is away. I shouldn't complain though as when he finishes he more than likely won't return here but go where the jobs are.

scales show my lowest so far so that is good, not as low as what the scale was showing at the weekend but that just gives me an incentive for this week as I know it is within my grasp.

Been OUT of the loop HERE and with my eating. Sigh. Trying to remember what happened last week. OH that's right, I started a new Women and Weights class, so it's a hour of weight-lifting with an instructor (taking me a while to warm up to her) 2x a week. And then I go directly from WAW's to Spin class for an hour. So I decided to stay away from fasting on tues and thurs. So last week I fasted Mon and Fri...though Fri. came in at over 600. Then this weekend I'm not sure what happened. My food scale battery died and I have yet to get a new one. So I just ate my way through the weekend. No measuring, grazing like it was my job, carbs....gah.

So I'm here this am, trying to fast and trying to reign it in. Sheesh. I see my surgeon in about 3 weeks for my 3 year checkup and he *knows* I'm doing the 5:2 but things have slowed way down for me in regards to losses (I will admit to getting an initial "high" after seeing the scale go down so quick in the first few weeks...) but I suppose that I'm getting a tad frustrated with doing the 5:2 (so I would *love* to see how low I can go before going in there and would *love* to give him a glowing report from 5:2 land) but not seeing the scale move much. (Swizzly you out there? ;) ) I know there are so many "other" health benefits from doing the 5:2 but I will NOT lie and sugarcoat anything...I'm doing it for the weight-loss benefit right now and when I'm not getting that "benefit" out of it, pfffttt, well I guess I'm just frustrated. The one OTHER benefit I love is the way I feel on a fast. Like food is NOT the most important thing in my life and that I can do with less. Great feeling.

So anyway, pulling up my big girl panties today and getting BACK UP ON THAT 5:2 HORSE and I will get my sh*t together and forget about this weekend. Love you ladies.

Okay, M2G, remember that you have to eat very cleanly and well within cal range on feast days for 5:2 to really work for us sleevers, I believe. I know I lost well and reached where I initially wanted to be within 3 months which was fairly quickly for 5:2 but I was super vigilant on non fast days. Now I've been more lax on feast and am holding and maintaining but not losing so what I've learned is my health is much improved, I like the way I feel, I have increased my exercise but unless I want to lose more I'm going to have to kick butt by really reigning in the Snacks ( even though still within cal range) on feast days.

You can do it! Man, I wish I had your exercise mindset! As you said on another thread, maybe you need to change up the way you are fasting. Maybe try a different form with all your workouts and see if your body responds. Like 16:8. Or maybe add in some more good fats.

Let us know what and how you do this week! I think you will be on the loosing track!

..supposed to fast today... will do my regular morning routine... Protein coffee... but my dad called at 2AM (something was on his mind to do that!) ...and needs a ride to Oakland (around 90 miles), drs appointment in the morning... so my sched will be thrown off...lunch out.. may end up doing damage control tomorrow.... I know this can work from the past, but makes me a little nervous. I have only been holding this weight for maybe 12 days, but it feels like a stall... which really, its not.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
