Starting my pre op liquid diet on Tuesday and I'm so scared!

Hey everyone,

My name is ally and I'm 22 I am scheduled for surgery on July 23rd. I start my liquid diet on Tuesday the 9th and I am so afraid that I am going to go nuts by not eating! I was told I can have sugar free water ice, and sugar free ice pops and broth. I bought carnation instant breakfast, ensure and GNC lean shakes. Does anyone have any suggestions on anything else I can possibly have during the pre op diet or ways to stay same? I know post op will be easier. Thanks so much !!!

The first few days are the hardest but broths will be your friend in breaking up all the sweetness of protein shakes. Did you get some unjury chicken flavored broth? Its pretty yummy..good luck

I'm on day 4 and I just want to much on something! I'm allowed protein shakes I'm doing carnation, ad I've been trying broth and eating sugar free water ice. I just need to much on something it's killing me!

I'm not to the pre-op diet yet, but when I 'need' to munch, I chew ice. My dentist hates it, but it really does help.
