If you absolutely can't drink liquids then suck on ice cubes and popsicles. It's very important that you get liquids into your body so you won't get dehydrated. My first 2 weeks I set a timer on my phone and made sure I was drinking an ounce of liquid every 4 minutes.

Hi, Philly & welcome. I was sleeved on the 19th, so I'm right where you are. I was having poop issues, too, but mine was too much, too often. I added in kefir (liquid yogurt) yesterday & today has been way better. You have got to get the liquids in, though...dehydration is a serious issue, don't put yourself in that position. :)

Yeah, these first few days have been rough for me, too...feeling like crap, can't keep anything in my system long enough to give me any nutrients...just sucky, all around. Plus, there was so much preparation for the actual day, that I was already exhausted going into surgery. Each day is a little better, though. Take care!

The issue with bowels is you are not putting much in so don't expect much out. Don't overdo the Fiber situation thinking you will be like it was before. The drinking early out is the main issue and just keep working on drinking. It will get easier and then all of a sudden you need to change and add something so don't get hung up on too much. They tell you what they want you to do and then every time I went to my doctor and showed him what I was doing he thought it was great even though I could not get what the paper said. You try to do what you can and measure so you know. Good luck and welcome.

Hey y'all! I also had my surgery the 18th! I have been getting the Protein in and walking a bunch! It's the Water that's hard for me! I definitely am trying but it seems like soooo much!! I'm feeling like me except for the naps.. I NEVER nap I fall asleep randomly throughout the day! I'm a teacher so this is my summer and I can nap whenever but I'm typically extremely wired/ADHD! I have one incision that still hurts other than that my pain level isn't that high! Good luck!! :)

Hi, you're going to need Probiotics for the stomach churning. Drink Liquid Protein from GNC store, it's good, also, as much Water as you can handle. Good Luck!

Philly, My doctor gave me something for nausea, not ljke a full month prescription for it but like 15 pills... Kind of just in case! I would talk to your doc about prescribing you something for your nausea. What are you doing on your liquids if you aren't doing Protein? Good luck! :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
