Suggestion for hair loss

Recommended Posts

So I'm 6 months post op and have been having horrible hair loss! It's been pretty depressing :/ my mom told me to try garnier fructis fight fall and I've only used it today and it has worked wonders for me! I used both the Shampoo and conditioner and my Hair loss was reduced by at least 70 percent! Best part is that it is cheap and you can pretty much find it anywhere! I bought mine at wal mart. I wanted to share the wealth since I know that many of us are or will be going through the same thing. Let me know how it works for you guys!

I am taking so much Biotin that the beautician said I should not lose any hair. I have have strong healthy thick hair. I do the chewable biotin from GNC I love the taste of them.

I've been taking Biotin since immediately post-op and starting at 3.5 months post op, the Hair loss started. Not sure if it's not as severe bc of the Biotin, bc it's pretty significant. I am using Nioxin but will try the Garnier...thanks.

My hair loss started at 3 months. Lost about half the thickness of my hair.< /p>

Now at 6.5 months, it's slowing and growing back!

It gets better, hang in there!

I noticed the day that I was able to intake at least 60 gm of Protein, my hair lost stopped. My hair is pretty thick, so i only noticed the hair lost while washing it daily in the shower. It was my notice that the day prior my protein intake level as under 60 grams. So I started adding nuts as a daily snack which help me reach my daily protein goals. Hair loss stopped for me after 4 mons post op.

Thank you for this tip!!! I am 4.5 months post op, and I started losing SO much hair a couple weeks ago. After only a couple weeks, I have lost at least 50% hair volume. I fear I will be bald in a couple more weeks! It is so bad, I try not to brush my hair much. I barely pick through my hair and I have a huge ball of hair in my hand! I am SO going out and buying this tonight! I will let you know how it works.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
