What kind of protein?

I'm going shopping today for my pre op and post op liquid diet. I saw this huge tub of protein powder from Costco that said 50g protein per scoop and it was whey protein. Is there a specific kind of protein I'm looking for? What's isolate protein? Help please!

Be careful with proteins! You want low/zero sugar as well as high protein. Check out isopure or syntrax nectar. I also got a flavorless soy protein to mix in with my soups as well to make sure I am getting enough in!

A lot of people on here get the costco one but for me it was waay too sweet, and tasted sort of like a really thick melted milkshake from McDonald's. If I were you get samples first before you invest in a tub that you may hate. unjury (unjury.com) and Syntrax nectar (luckyvitamin.com/vitacost.com) both have samples, have 0 carbs, 0 fat, and have an amazing amino acid profile... something that a lot of Protein shakes don't normally have. Isopure is also pretty good. If you are looking to go all natural without artificial ingredients try Jay Robb, who has shakes in Whey isolate and Egg white and a variety of flavors.

Last but not least, get a variety of flavors because you will get sick of the same thing all of the time. Syntrax Nectar has over 20 different flavors from Cappuccino, to iced tea, to chocolate truffle, to fuzzy navel...

Nectar is the bes t tasting one I have found! It's delicious and I mix it with V8 light fusion....mmmmmm....
