February 2007 bandsters!

Recommended Posts

I know I would totally go for the 60 but I have become pretty hardcore addicted to exercising. How about if we do a challenge with different levels. Like this:

Level 1- 30 minutes per day for 20 days

Level 2- 45 minutes per day for 20 days

Level 3- 60 minutes per day for 20 days

and the Level 4 hardcore bad ass 60 minutes per day for 30 days

Yeah I am pretty pissed that I missed 2 workout days this month grrr lol. I wanna be a hardcore bad ass in June!

This sounds great to me...... Start June 1st:)

Wow, I just caught up on about 3 weeks of bulletins. Time really flies by.

Here's my update:

- I'm going for my third fill tomorrow. And I really need it, haven't moved the scale in over three weeks!!! (At least I'm holding my own though)

-I really don't like getting the fills, I don't know how everyone else feels about them, but I really get quite squimish

- I have never been as constipated in my life. I recently bought "fiber one" bars. Need to eat one everyday.

:D - Old patterns return quickly, its 2:30 am and I just ate some Pasta (gosh, am I glad I'm getting a fill tomorow!!!!)

:biggrin1: - Still I'm outrageously thrilled that I made the decision to get banded. It has made a HUGE difference in my life.

I am currently around 43 lbs down, and feel......... feel.......... most likely as all other normal weighted people have felt all of their lives!!!!!!!!! Every pound I lose I feel so much better about my self, so much more motived, self confident, self assured, privledge and worthy!! I ;) know this sounds crazy, but I really think alot of you know what I mean!! Ok, ok, I'll get a grip!!!!!!!! Sorry for the psyco babble!!

Well, anyway, I hope to come back and tell you all about my great third fill weight loss story!!!!!!!!!!

Wishing you all continued success.:)

CONSTIPATION . . . This is a good salad that is high in Protein and really helps move things along.

1 can (15ozs.) black Beans, kidney beans and chickpeas, rinsed and drained. Add cherry tomatoes quartered, 1/2 chopped celery, 1/4 cup red pepper, 1/4 cup sliced green olives, chopped green onoin, and a jar or corn relish (which you find in with the regular relish) It has a sweet taste. I also add feta cheese if I have it. I don't usually foam at the mouth with this. I think cause it is all small foods. My family now likes it too.

Another update...had .4cc's taken out this morning because I was just miserable even trying to get liquids down. Already am feeling much better. I also was informed I lost 7 lbs in the past week. Not a bad boost in the weight loss. Hopefully this slight unfill will get me to my sweet spot. That would be just great. Now I just need to get on the wagon for the June challenge. I joined Curves last month, but am doing only 3-4 days of 30 minutes. I guess that's better than nothing. I'll try to become a little more motivated this month.

Just started last week...:omg: Other than during my 2 pregnancies, I've never had this issue before! :) I thought it might have to do with not getting enough Water, but now I'm thinking that it's a lack of Fiber because I'm avoiding all grains with this whole low-carb sh..tuff!

Gerber makes a sweet baby food (in glass jars or plastic tubs) that is a mix of prunes & applesauce. I've taken to stealing some from my DD's stash! :kiss But things have gotten to the point where I might invest in some of that clear Benefiber & mix it in with my daily Protein Shake. :phanvan Sounds delicious... :)

THanks for the suggestions! I took Milk of Magnesia a couple times which helped me to go, now Im trying my best to push the fibers and the water intake, I take metamucil every once in a while when I dont feel that Ive had enough fiber in the day.

To “join” a challenge...just stop by the new thread & say HI – and then post updates as the month progresses for support, motivation, & encouragement. That’s all there is to it! Hope to see y’all over there, too!

Here’s the link to our June Challenge thread.

Wallygirl, you can go to Graphical Event Ticker for your Signature, Message Boards, Blogs and Web Page and fill out the info to make your ticker (the thing that shows the weight in my siggy) once you do that it will post a code that you copy and paste into your signature. As for the challenge info just copy and paste it in your own signature and update it as you do the workouts.

Have y’all thought of getting “something sparkly” to commemorate your LapBand?

Having been banded in February, and because the amethyst is February’s birthstone... I’m thinking I’d like a piece of amethyst jewelry. I’ve seen amethyst set both silver & gold, and it’s a very affordable semi-precious stone. And I’m leaning toward a necklace or Bracelet, since my ring size has already gone down with only 40 of my 200 pounds gone! But what style? A journey or circle pendant? Or maybe something more artsy with smooth rather than faceted stones? Perhaps a stretchy chip bracelet that’ll adjust as I continue to loose…? I’ve got a few weeks still to decide, but a piece of amethyst will be my reward at 50 pounds!

It’s not so much that I’m a huge fan of the purple quartz, as it is to mark me as a February Bandster, or ~if you will~ an Amethyst Bandit! :bandit

Zany , the amethyst is a good idea. I love purple anyway ! My rings are twirling on my fingers also , but it's a good "twirl". I've got only one pound to go to hit the 50 mark , and I'm getting my third fill next Tuesday so if I don't get there before then , I'm sure I will after the fill.

Babygirl , thanks for the ticker info. I've been wanting to add mine for a while.

Teacher - I hope that you're doing ok after your surgery and will be up and about soon. I'm enjoying school being out. Tho' it's only been a week , I'm already getting way to used to sleeping in. lol

Lizrbit - how are doing w/recovery from your new band ? Well I hope.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
