No band for me today

I came in for a band to sleeve revision but due to some erosion he found he felt it was safer to do 2 surgeries. I appreciate his concern but I am so disappointed. I don't know if I will be able to afford another surgery.

sorry to hear that wordy, i had thast same concern i did have the band but was ok to go through the one surgery. Just know that it is for your safety but i do understand the disappointment of not having it done the first time.

I'm so afraid of that. My dr said he'd do it in one surgery, however if he goes in and it's not safe to sleeve me at the same time, he won't. My insurance only covers revision if it's from complications of the band cuz my bmi is 28. If I have no band, I doubt that they would pay for it with my bmi being under 40.

I'm praying that my stomach is fine and he can do it at once. Please, please, please, let it be so...

Sorry to hear :(. My doc removed my band in March and refuses to do the revision because he wants the stomach to heal. Fortunately, my insurance and doctor cleared me for the sleeve exactly 11 weeks after the removal. Sleeved now!
