Mushy foods allows your stomach to heal after surgery. You shouldn't eat noodles and rice so early on. My doctor advises to eat and drink proteins before you add different foods because you need to get your nutrients first. Don't fill up on bad carbs. They have no nutritional value.

My doctor told me I could eat pasta during the mushies stage as long as it was only 1/3 cup and it was very well cooked. She also said not to eat it with alfredo sauces, etc. but to stick to marinara. I've been looking forward to mushies so I hope this information is accurate.

You are in the healing stage. I would stick to mash potatoes. Rice should be okay if you chew it really well. I survived on creamy soups a lot. Congrats on your surgery.
