Nausea at three weeks out

Recommended Posts

I am 3 weeks out today and have been battling nausea the last few days. Friday and Saturday I had a weird feeling in the back of my throat. I felt a bit sick during that, but it went away Sunday morning. Then, starting Sunday I haven't been able to get my Protein in. Cottage cheese, yogurt and milk makes me nauseas. Even my protein mixed into shakes or Jello makes me ill. Pretty much everything turns my stomach. Otherwise my recovery has been great so far! Its been a breeze until now. Has anyone else had this issue? Or do you have suggestions? I take prilosec daily already. Thanks :)

I'm six weeks post opt and this weekend has been tuff for me. I work out every day twice a day and I try and drink as much as possible every day but it's still hard getting in 8 cups of Water a day. But I've been feeling so nauseated and my legs keep getting cramps so I did a little research and I think maybe it's dehydration. I've stocked up on gatorade for the electrolytes bananas for potassium and water. I'm trying to eatno more then 800 calories a day some say it's crazy but it's working for me. But I do think I need to get a little more food in my body I'm just so afraid of stretching my stomach and gaining weight. Well back to your problem lol sorry. Maybe you need more liquids

Are you still on a liquid diet I know that I start to feel nauseated when I haven't ate anything. Try eating some mashpotatoes they really helped me they filled my stomach and helped take away the nausea

I'm very nauseous as well. It seems to get really bad at night when I'm in bed. I was sleeved on 5/22.

I had surgery on the 15th of April 2013 and for the past few weeks I have been so sick to my stomach. I put a few calls in to the surgeons office and have yet to hear back. I hate this.

My issue is lactose. I can't have it now, hopefully it not permenant. Also, I was having spasms in my esophagus from my hiatal hernia repair. They have me taking levsin around the clock to help.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
