That should be lost on pre-op diet.

Surgery on May 7. Lost 35 pound total in first 2 months. Have been stalling for the past month and am worried that I may be through. My BMI was a 36 before surgery but the dr thought I would lose quite a bit more than this. Anyone else in my boat?

I feel as though I am losing slow as well. My exercise is not as consistent as I need it to be but better than I have been in years. One day at a time *sigh.

Hello May Sleevers!!! I have to say I feel like I have had a slow weight loss. I started at 237. With my pre-op diet I only lost 7 pounds. I was sleeved on May 8th, 2013 and struggled a lot after surgery. I could not get in any fluids without almost vomitting for about 2 1/2 weeks. Any way, I am currently at 197 as of my weigh-in yesterday. Which puts me at 40 pounds total, 33 lbs down since surgery. How is everyone else doing?

40 lbs total is incredible! Congratulations on a job well done! I had my three month follow-up yesterday. I look forward to seeing how the blood work turns out. I Celebrate these milestones: 1. no longer taking blood pressure meds, 2. no longer taking high cholesterol meds, 3. exercising much more frequently 4. some relief from chronic unexplained nausea that I've had for four years and 5. lost a total of 43.8 lbs since I began pre-op diet (35 lbs since 5/2/13 surgery)! Yes, my weight loss has been slower than some, but I'm trying to keep the emphasis on health improvements. I hope that all you dear May sleevers are seeing vast improvements in health, as well. I thank God for his prompting, my surgeon, and this community! This is the day that Lord has made! Rejoice and be glad in it!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
