To all the May sleevers:

CONGRATS!! Congrats!! CONGRATS!! You are all doing great and are such an inspiration!!! As I read each of your posts, I envision where I'll be in a couple of weeks (surgery date: June 6)

I know I will be impatient & wanting the weight just to fly away but have to remember that I didn't gain all this weight in a few weeks!!!!!

Best of luck for your continued success!!!

~~~ See you on the loser's bench soon!!!!!~~~
Surgery May 6th. I've lost 29 lbs since the beginning of March this year. I've lost 23% of my excess weight in 3 months!
Since surgery I had a 2 week stall that just broke, day 11 post op thru day 25, I was stuck at 205. It was extremely frustrating, but my goal is to lose 12 lbs a month and I'm still on track so it's not so bad. I'm eating 300-500 calories each day. I'm only eating about 3 oz of actual food everyday and not enough Water, about 32-40 oz.
Height. 5'1"
Highest wt 232
PreOp diet wt. 227
Surgery wt. 216
Current wt. 203
Goal wt 125
Thanks everyone for posting your updates. It's exciting to see how well you're all doing. Good luck to everyone on their journey.
lala, I feel a little better after reading your post...my first two weeks post-op I lost 20 lbs and was feeling optimistic..since then I have lost only about 2 lbs and nothing in this past week...like ramirelek, I am following the program--just walking so far for exercise..I probably could be getting some more Water in daily...but still I am quite discouraged...it helps to know you had a 2-week stall but started losing again
Drop the "only" from that statement, Ramirelek! :) You've lost 12.4 lbs in 3 weeks, so that's 4 lbs PER week! Think about that...if you kept up that rate of loss, you'd lose 200 lbs in a year. You're doing great!
      Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
