I was wondering what post op diet did your surgeon have you do ?

I will have surgery monday and mine is clear liquids for one day then reg. liquids for two wks then blended food for two wks then soft solids for one wk then after that solids with caution

I just wondered if this is common my doc said he was trying to be more careful then some docs by keeping me on liquids for so long but I have seen several people on here say they were on clear liquids for two wks then reg liquids a wk or longer

just wondering if mine is normal or not

My Doc had me on 2 wks of clear, 2 wks on full liq, 2 wks on soft protein diet, now I'm on proteins with veggies and a piece of holiday treat here and there:faint:

That sounds about right. I think I was at solid food about 4-6 weeks out. I remember going to my checkup and I had at least 1 week left of mushies. Good luck. Healing phase.
