Breast Reduction/Lift *Graphic Pics

Thank you for posting these and for sharing your story. I am absolutely getting PS on my breasts and likely a Tummy Tuck. I'm happy to hear it wasn't as painful as you thought it would be.

Thanks for posting the pics...it is helpful. What size do they anticipate you being after healing from reduction?

I had reduction when I was 20. Back then I weighed about 135 and had to have my bras special made because they didn't make them in my size. My only regret was my surgeon butchered me and I lost a lot of my sensation. I am actually considering having them lifted sometime in the near future.

I believe sharing pictures like these are important, it helps those considering the surgery to have a better idea of what to expect. Kudos to you for sharing.

Thank you for posting, I see this procedure in my future at some point. It looks really painful with the incisions, but shaping is GREAT! good to know about the time off work as well.

Had mine 12 years ago and with very little pain. After a few years the scaring is hardly noticeable. Although, I didn't care if it was or not.. I was just glad I got it done and had boobies of a 20year old. Love 'em to this day

ENJOY!

They will be a full C and then a mid C when I lose these last 15 lbs.

They were very clear that I could lose a lot of sensation, but that surgery has come a long way in the last decade and it was unlikely. I do have spotty numbness all over though. That can last some months. I was most worried about losing sensation in my nipples. Much to my relief, I have the exact opposite side effect; they are crazy sensitive to everything since surgery.

Scarring will be minimal 1 year from now. The nipple scar quickly fades into the color of the nipple, the vertical scar will fade to pale pink and the under the breast scar will be hidden. I went to realself.com and looked at lots of before pictures. The scarring didn't seem bad at all. Even if it was bad though, I would still do this. SO worth it already.

I had this done to about 6 years ago. Its so liberating being able to make bra wearing optional at least around the house and once in while out and about. My only problem was that the surgery left me with "wings" leading back to my arms where the surgery scars go almost to my armpit. its like a couple inches. of well fat. I hate it.

Have you thought about having the wings removed?

Have you thought about having the wings removed?

Yes although, of course that would require another surgery. Its more noticeable as I loose weight. I dont think my insurance would cover it, although I feel my surgeon did not do a very good job of that area. I have googled others left with the same situation after this surgery, its like the fat or breast tissue fell back to that area and the just sewed it up. Like peaks of tissue built up about 5 inches long and 1inch high witht the surgery scar on top. Not pretty.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
