I started the bariatric program in January 2013 at my highest weight of 390. I lost 60lbs and met all of the other requirements for surgery in March. Weighed 330 on surgery day and I've been in the "3-week stall" for about a week and teetering between 301-304. My surgeon gave me a goal to lose 100-120lbs in 6mos. What I have lost is my motivation to walk, so I'm trying to get my stuff together. I go back to work in a few weeks and will be sitting on my butt all day...I'm worried but also excited to be away from temptations of home food. I'm proud of my progress so far...no complications...just gotta keep on keeping on.

That's amazing! Congratulations. I'm praying/hoping that I can be that successful my first few months. I'm 2 weeks preop to date.

My starting weight was 448lbs. I was not required to lose any weight pre-op as I see many folks talking about. I am two years post-op and my current weight is 314lbs. My goal weight is 248lbs. Just as you have said I also see many people starting at my goal weight. Possibly when I reach my goal I will make a new goal.

Good luck sweetie.

I was sleeved Sept 27, 2013.

Pre op weight 410

Surgery weight 385

Current weight 295

Hit a major stall these last 6 or 8 weeks.

But not giving up!!

Yes I have hit a stall too. But you have to re-evaluate what you are doing. I come to the forums for motivation because living every day life can throw you off track. I know what I can be doing differently. I'm trying to be honest with myself. We can break this stall!

Inspiration for newbies... Highest weight :315.6 Surgery weight: 297.5 Current Weight: 187.0!!!! 14 months out (4/18/13)

Our starting stats are nearly identical. I'm just 3 months out. I've lost 71 (28 of that preop) and a little overwhelmed with how far I have to go (although pleased with my progress). THANK YOU for sharing! I have to remember it's a marathon, not a sprint. Any advice on how you kept it coming off once it slowed down (assuming it slowed)? Did you have to decrease calories, do 5:2, increase exercise?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
