I'm on all Clear Liquids today..... Surgery 2mar!!!! 6-21-13!!!!!! The first day of summer..... An AWESOME way to start the summer!!!! And it's my aunt's 7 year surgeversary of her gastric bypass!!!!!! :-D

Good luck I'm tomorrow also I can't wait to get this over with !! A speedy recovery to both of us :)

Home now...gas pain better since drain plug was removed, not réally much sick of stomach still taking fluids pretty good...walking and coughing up crud to clean out lungs....see doc again in a week...

I am on second day of liquid phase. Before preop diet I was 282. I am now 266. My surgery is the 25th

That's awesome! You've lost 16 lbs in two days?!!! I've only lost 3 during week one. I'm scheduled for bright and early Monday morning at 5:30, June 24th!!!

Day 3 postop...doing well drinkin chicken broth now, gas better now the gas is releasing Both ends...lol...anyone having trouble staying asleep? I been up walking, slippin and reading since 2:30am ...

I became really good at the "sleep, sip, walk, sip, sleep, sip, walk, sip, sleep..." routine post-op!

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
