First day of pre-op diet!

So I'm drinking my first shake (I work nights so this is my "breakfast"). I chose to make a mocha shake. Weird consistency but not bad. Just trying to get it down lol

I'M SO HUNGRY!!! End of day 2 preop liquid diet and I'm laying in bed SO hungry!!!! Hoping to just sleep and maybe the hunger will go away? My stomach is growling and water doesn't cut it. Was everyone else this hungry?????

I am! I just want something of some consistency besides liquid!

Check with your NUT but our pre-op diet you can have sherbert and I believe that will be a my saving grace for substance...it was actually on our list of things for clear liquid diet.

I am a newbie. My surgery is May 14 and I start my liquid diet tomorrow. My nut allows low fat cream soups and even cream of wheat or grits (no fat) At least it is something to chew, sort of.

Sugar free Popsicles are good to substitute for pure liquid. When I got really hungry I ate a piece of string cheese.

I have tried the tropical popsicles. I think they will be very helpful. One of my fears is being at work and hungry. It will test my customer service skills for sure. How do you have dinner with family drinking a shake while they eat as usual?

I won't be eating with the family lol but thankfully i work a lot at night very seldom during the day and my job is really on the go so a shake will have to do i know ima hate it tho :(

I sit in an office all day. That is partly to blame for all the weight i put on the last 10 years. My friends at work even threw a "lifestyle wake" for me at work today with all my fav foods. They called it phat friday.

Well that stinks BUT don't worry u can do this!!! I have faith in you girl!!!!!

The pre op diet is the magic count down. I know I can do this. I am worthy. The visalus shakes taste pretty good. It won't be forever. . . it will only seem like it. Boy, one second i psych myself up and the next i kick my self.

Thanks for your support. It really does help to talk to someone that has been there or are in the trenches with you.

the trenches are gonna be deep but through it all we have a great forum to work with and everyone is either going through it or has so it a a great thing

Yeah! Day one down and only 9 more to go. Iwas not so hungry. When I usually have an evening snack, I drank some almond milk.
