My surgery is Wednesday the 24th and I have to remove my nose ring. I have only had my piercing for 8 months and I heard they close fast. Anyone had this issue.....please help!

Surgery is only a couple of hours from pre-op to recovery. I don't think it'll close that fast! Just put it back in after.

You can buy plastic stud at Hot Topic or any store like Icing. they just dont want you to wear metal during surgery. I used plastic stud during surgery and was fine.

Ugh...well I was thinking of getting another Monroe...I've had my current Monroe for a little over a year but my scare tissue has finally gone away...I also hate hate hate taking it out and putting it back in =.= thanks for posting this cause that was news to me. Also cartilage piercings don't close as fast as tissue piercings I think oral is the the quickest to close so you will be fine!

I got to leave my dermal in. I wasn't able to remove it so the nurse just put tape over it. It's on my upper left wrist. Sleeved April 9th
