I really want to sleep!!! Went to bed at 10:45. Got up at 12:30. Can't go back to sleep. Tried walking, tried pillows, tried I Love Lucy. Not in pain. Don't have gas. Just can't sleep!

Sorry you can't sleep. I have never been a good sleeper. I usually work nights so my schedule stays messed up. Since the surgery (7/22) I don't think I've slept more than 3 hours at a time. Like you, no real pain or gas, just wake up:) Right now I have the FBI files on TV and I'm playing on the computer. And of course...sipping water! lol

I would love a Protein Drink about now. I can't so anything but Clear Liquids until my first post op visit so bummed. I can now feel when I'm hungry vs my mi d just wanting to eat.

Thinking of calling and asking the doctor if I could try my shakes. I don't want to mess anything up. broth and water work well.

Have to have three Protein Drinks a day. I have to mix the powder with water. I can also have Isopure clear Liquid Protein drinks. Monday I start full liquids and can have creamed Soups made with milk (strained) and sugar free pudding. I can make Protein Shakes with milk then, too. I can't wait for Monday. LOL

I can only do clear, I have to meet with the doctor Wednesday then it's on to full liquids. I test drove saltines and it was great two crackers and I felt better. Chewed to oblivion and chased with a swallow of broth. Heaven lol.

I have to say I find it interesting that I can get my fluids in. I sip like crazy. I just use a regular 8oz glass it takes about an hour to empty. The sip bottle got on my nerves plus the top smelled after a while, I scrub it all the time.

I hope I get to start my proteins Wednesday.

My throat has been killing me. I finally thought to look at it and it was covered in white blister like things. And I've had horrible diarrhea all day. I called my doctor and he called in a pill plus a swish and swallow and I already feel a little better. My doctor was so nice too. He called me back in less than 5 minutes on a sat evening, said it was no trouble at all and immediately called in the scrips, then texted me to let me know it was done. Love Dr. Jawad. It is thrush. I can't remember who just said they had thrush, but are you taking something for it?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
