My date is currently the 24th, and I planned it that way so I could enjoy the 4th and my birthday on the 16th before I have to start the one week diet for real.

Of course, the best laid plans... I may have to try and move to an earlier date - I may be changing jobs in mid to late July and if so I would want to get this done before starting. Hopefully I'll have an answer this week.

Just got my date today. July 16th. Im band revision and my worst nightmare is ill wake up in recovery to be told my stomach was too damaged from my herniated band to do the sleeve at the same time. Can't afford 2 surgeries and since my bmi is only 28, my insurance wont pay for a 2nd surgery. So Im praying ill wake up without a band and sleeved...

Getting it done in Coos Bay, Or.

I'm July 16th too and a revision too... and I know how you feel about waking up and not being sleeved. My bmi is 35 so I'm not sure what my insurance would do. Let me know if you're looking for a surgery buddy, I kinda want to find someone going through the same thing as me!

I think I'm going to be having surgery 7/23 with Dr. Pleatman in MI. I live in southeastern OH and am self-pay. I'm nervous, but excited and more hopeful than I've felt in years!

I have a surgery date!! July 10th! But I'm still not getting my hopes up because it always seems like something falls through, I have already had 3 different surgery dates and it hasn't worked out yet. This time I'm afraid my loan is going to fall through because on my loan application it asked for patient income and I put my entire household income. Now with everything being processed I need to supply proof of income, which I can for my household income, it isn't like I lied about that, but I think they may have just wanted my own personal income and that probably wouldn't make me eligible for the loan anymore. :(

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
