Best casin powder for pm

I want to switch up my pm powder to one that slows down the catabolic state that the body enters at night.

Stop eating what little muscle I have Mr. body. Now!

I read that a long lasting Protein powder like casin will help. Currently I am using an extended whey based powder that is designed to last 4-5 hours. Looking for a good powder that will keep my body fueled with protein throughout the entire night.

Which one do you use for pm? Amazon has several with good reviews so thought I would ask my WLS friends.

Cheap, simple, effective...Optimum Nutrition's Casein blend. There are some formulated proteins for night time, but a good casein blend is all that's really needed. I've never used Nimbus Nite Time protein, but it's supposed to be pretty decent with aminos and such. No fat, no sugar, <1g carb. Both are around the same price. I don't have any experience with any other night time formulas.

Thanks Mark! That is the information I need.

Drinking a Protein shake before bed has helped me drop weight fairly quickly up to month 5. I would always notice the scale move when I did it versus not doing it. However, I was drinking an extended whey and not a casein.

I wish I knew the differences between whey and casein back then, especially when I really started running.. I might have kept a lot more muscle. Bringing it back now though with consistent and hard lifting 2x a week. Looking forward to seeing good results with the casein at night. My weight is starting to drop again, but lean muscle is increasing. Learning every day...

Thanks again.
