Hair Loss - it's official

Recommended Posts

Teresa, good theory. Nobody ever listened to me when I told them I could never have long hair because I'm so tall. Now think about that... If I were closer to the ground, my hair would be closer to the ground, and thereby longer.

I also believe the world can only weigh a certain amount or it will spin off its axis. Therefore, while we are losing weight, somebody has to be gaining it. What's interesting about this theory is that I think the fat has to stay within your own family or circle of friends. Chris is actually getting fat. Nobody in his entire family lineage has ever been fat. He only has one brother, Kelly, who wears sweat pants under his jeans all year round to pad them because he can't find Levi's cuz he's too skinny. So as I lose, Chris gains... and one of my co-workers is getting a little chunky.

Just remember that I'm the one who said it first, cuz when someone wins some big Nobel Prize or whatever that fancy prize is that smarties like me get, the thing better have my name on it!

I havent actually tried this... ( I am actually sooo slow, I have been blaming my Hair loss on the hair colouring I used a few months ago.....) anyway, some of my friends swear that herbalife shakes completely stopped their hair loss when they were breast feeding. I, personally, cant stand the taste ( even the 'new and improved one -yuck) since my mom made me go on the herbalife program every few months when I was young ( didn't work of course :)

so i guess basically its about nutrition.....

cheers

tellie

ps, teresa, I like that theory!

Thanks, Tellie. I'm taking special hair Vitamins along with my other Vitamins that are supposed to be the best on the market, so I'm sure they have most of the same junk as Herbalife, which is also on my list of failed diets that I've tried in the past.

How is everyone today? I'm wiped out. I think something's wrong with me like anemia or lack of life? After waking up, it takes over an hour to get out of bed. I'm dragging. I'm taking Iron and tons of vitamins but I'm lifeless. Could this be thyroid medication that I started taking a couple months ago? Could I be catching up with 30 years of severe insomnia? Or is this really just OWD like my husband says? Olt Woman Disorder.

I think it's "two-job-syndrome".

Girl, give yourself a break!!

Could it be your age? LOL!!! I think it is anemia, lack of some kind of nutrition in your system, not enough Protein maybe. Guessing here? Check with your Doc on the Thyroid meds. You could just have the "dropsy."

LOL

You know what, now that I think about it, my legs are hairier....

I used to have REAL thick hair, my pony tail was ridiculous... So I like my hair now, it is much easier to do. BUT.... It has thinned a lot and really hasn't come back. My daughter has hair just like me, and hers has not thinned. So I don't know the answer. I just want to talk....lol.... Honestly, It is coming back, just not as thick as it was... :)

I thought we already established that I have Dropsy since I drop things all the time. Donali, shut up. Yes, my feet are throbbing and I'm wondering what the heck I'm doing working so hard for so little, but you're gonna be damn jealous when you see my foxy new top and 3 pairs of earrings from this evening's purchase!

Especially financial stress... LOL. It seems like you are spending more than you are earning Miss Lisa. Maybe you should drop the second job, you would be richer. :D Teresa

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
