...I dread when this starts for me. I have hair to my waist. I have heard that you need to improve Protein, increase Biotin, Nioxin shampoo/conditioner once it begins & that it will eventually stop.

I am almost 5 months out and for the last month my is coming out REALLY bad. I swear when I wash my hair my hands are covered in it. The top of my head is very thin. I am just going to continue to eat Protein and drink lots. I don't have any answers just feeling your pain. Hang in there.

Totally normal! It's called Telogen Effluvium. I'm four months out & my hair has been falling out for a few weeks. Your hair follicles went into shock with surgery and now the new hairs are coming through pushing out the old. Give it some time!

I just posted about this here it is...

Hi all. I was sleeved in October. I am very pleased with my 90 lb weightloss. However, I have been losing sooooo much hair. So, I did hours, days, and weeks of research. I ended up ordering a product called moringa a few weeks ago. It is 100% organic, it is a tree grown so many miles from the equator, has 92 nutrients, 4x Calcium in milk, 3x potassium in bananas, 2x Protein in yogurt, 4x Vitamin a in carrots, and 7x Vitamin C in oranges. I have been taking this for 2 weeks, am no longer losing hair and have gotten off all my meds except 1 (synthroid, i dont have a thyroid) and that's out of 15! It's comes in a packet that you mix with 8-20 oz of Water and, coming from a picky person, its tasty. It's been used in 3rd world countries that are fighting malnourishment and has been very successful. I did lots of research and ended up with zija moringa. It's a little pricey, but it was the best I found with the best bang for your buck. The one I take is called supermix and I believe is double the nutrients. Anyway, I wanted to let ya'll know because I think it's something all of us sleevers should take to replace the important nutrients we lose when we have the surgery.

The website is ninetynutrients.myzija.com and their FB page is ninetynutrients. There is a lot if info in the FB page too.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
