Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Considering Dr. Kirshenbaum

Yes, the whole dress thing has been confusing and hard to keep up with!! The black one is actually the bridesmaid dress, but I could wear it to the ball also!! And yes, I feel the same way about the grey color. It is kind of blah.

Although, now my mom wants to go to NC and go to the ball with us, which kind of rains on my parade since I am not so happy with her as of late for how she was treating my sister about reenlisting. I really don't want to spend my vacation with her.:crying: Terrible of me I know, but what can I say?

I have to agree with the brooch thing. Unless it looks different when it is on, I like it.

Hey Dee~well, if you do the first race, it starts at 7:00, it can be pretty chilly, I would wear layers. The 8:30 co-ed Run/walk, the weather should be nice enough, I think I will wear shorts, a long sleeve under my t-shirt. I am so proud of you for doing the race this year! Oh, yeah, don't forget to wear PINK, PINK, and more PINK...remember my pink sparkly sunglasses??? I wear them every year and I always wear a Hawaiian flag for my mom and pictures of my mom too. I hope to see you down there!

Thanks Mal! I hope I get to see you there too! I'd love to take our picture together! I have been looking for pink tees, a long sleeve one under my shirt would be ideal. I wanted to wear shorts, but my legs are the worst! I bought shorts the other day on sale, but I haven't been brave enough yet. My shoes are so huge now that I've lost 100lbs. It sucks! While I was in Vegas, my ex bought me a new pair of tennis shoes. Maybe they will fit. I better start wearing them, so that they aren't new for the walk.

I do remember your sunglasses! You're the coolest! My grandma was such a kid at heart! I need to find something fun for her! We always put those tiny windmils on her grave on her birthday and mother's day. She loved those things!

Kisses Mal!

It's not even that I want to let her make me have less fun on my trip, it's that I don't even want her to go at all. That is why I am apparently an awful daughter. I just wanted to spend some time with my sister alone before she leaves without all the BS my mom brings along. I absolutely hate traveling with her and said I would never do it again after the last time, and she even wants to fly there with me. :crying:

Ok, so, you really have a lot going on in your life right now. The David's Bridal dress is gorgeous and you just sound much happier about it so if it isn't going to break you, I think you deserve it! You will look fabulous in any of these choices but you will FEEL like a princess in only one of them :D I am surprised your sister invited your Mom and I so can understand how you feel, UGH! Try not to let her get to you, you can always waltz away when she is near. It may be another good reason to go with your princess dress.

I just saw pumpkin Cheesecake Ben & Jerry's at the store last night! I ran away screaming, lol :D

You can't be serious! And just when I thought my Last Supper Syndrome was over! :crying:

Pray that my local grocery store is out of it! I definitely don't have the will power to run away screaming, lol.

Deb (sitting) Dee and Denvergirl at Atlanta bread Company.

It was so nice meeting Deb! She's a Sweetpea! We had a great little dinner! Soup and sandwiches!

Thanks for posting the picture. It's nice to see faces :crying: Wish I was there.

I just checked the B&J website. Turns out it's only available in "select retail stores" so my local grocery store might not have it. However, it's available by the scoop at my local B&J store. Now, I'll be going there straight after work for a scoop, haha. What sucks is I saw another flavor on their list that made me drool - Cheesecake Brownie! :D:blush::D

I think I'm going to have ice cream for dinner. :crying:

You are too funny  Ok, well I wasn't going to mention other flavors but they did have Creme Brulee too.

My favorite is the New York Super Chunk!!! I love it! I get the kiddie cone when I'm at the B&J shoppe. That way I don't buy the entire pint.

We don't have a B&J shoppe here so, it's the pint or nothing :crying:

Jamie...when do you start your pre-op? I remember the last supper thing. There are still days, that I wish I could eat like that again. Sometimes I really miss eating. Really miss it.

There's actually only a few flavors of ice cream that I really like. I'm not a fan of chocolate ice cream at all, which rules out a lot of stuff. I usually go for vanilla or fruity flavors. But cheesecake flavor always wins! There's a Dave Matthew's Band B&J flavor called Magic Brownies - Black Raspberry ice cream swirled with Sweet Cream ice cream and fudgy brownie chunks. :D

We have a B&J shoppe around here, but I still go for the pint! :D But not for long...I'm gonna be on the losers bench soon!

Dr. K says I should do a 7 day pre-op diet since I'm currently at a 38 BMI. But I've admitted to myself that I have a problem with sodas and beer. :crying: So in order to successfully quit those two, I need to start well in advance of 7 days, haha. I've promised my husband to "start" my pre-op diet on October 5th, which is one month out. I'll first quit beer, and then after a week or so I'll quit sodas as well. Hopefully by the third week I won't be entirely bitchy, and I'll be able to officially start the low-carb portion of the pre-op diet. My plan is to do low-carb for at least two weeks, but I need to quit sodas and beer before I start low-carb. Trying to do all that at once is liable to make me kill someone - I'll be so cranky!!!

Thanks...i'm glad I didn't tell anybody at work about the surgery...I can only imagine what the comments would be now with no change.

Yes, because us nurses are so catty. I hate to think what the nurses I work with say knowing that I had the surgery! I am sure they talk about how much I have lost/haven't lost.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
