Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Considering Dr. Kirshenbaum

Recommended Posts

Is he related to my husband? It sounds like they have the same stalker gene or something. And maybe I can get a group discount if you fly here and go to my therapist!

Let me ask you something....my soon to be ex just told me he has been seeing the sitter that sat with him while he was in the hospital outside the hospital. I think that is awfully inappropriate of her....what do you think?

Tell him congrats and hope he will marry her!!

Deb you might be right. I think I'll keep the beer as long as possible! :crying:

I can't believe that Munchie is on the B&J mailing list!! That seems like the cruelest form of torture there is! But, as a bonus, she's probably the first to know when they're having Free Cone Day! I think they do it a few times a year!

I'm totally getting B&J pumpkin Cheesecake ice cream for dinner. :D And I might just swing through McD's after that and get a Big Mac and fries LOL. My husband is coming home late tonight...I can take out the trash before he comes home and he'll never know how much I gorged, haha. He gives me evil looks when I eat that much crap at once. :D Probably because he's jealous that I'm getting the band!!!

Yep, I need to remove myself from the Ben & Jerrys mailing list!! They call it "Chunk Mail"! LOL!!

Well, of course I actually did already tell him that!!!! And I wish he would!!! But from a professional standpoint I think that is incredibly inappropriate of her as someone that was sitting with him in a mental health situation. When she was sitting with him in the hospital she told him alot of things about her personal life that I didn't feel were appropriate either. I don't know, as a nurse, it just doesn't sit right with me. Inappropriate boundaries with a patient I guess....

It is absolutely not professional or right in any way. But you know, she probably has her own issues and was drawn to him because it makes her feel bettter about herself.

She does have her own issues...her husband is an ER doctor in our hospital, and she told my husband all kinds of inappropriate things about her husband that could really damage his reputation. Even if they are true things, she still shouldn't be telling patients about them. I mean, this was hardcore stuff-she told my husband that her husband was fired from his last job for coming to work drunk, that he likes child porn, and that he tried to kill her. My response to this was (after telling him it was inappropriate for her to be telling him these things) "Why is she still with him then?" And my immediate reaction after hearing that she told him all this stuff is "Wow, this lady has issues!! She is kooky herself! And we let her sit with suicide attempt patients all the time! YIKES!"

But, like I said, it didn't sit right with me then. Very, very inappropriate in my opinion. There are a few patients that are my patients frequently that know things about my personal life, but I would never tell them any of the gruesome things. It is all benign stuff like how my sister is in the Marine Corp, that I have five dogs, etc....there is one patient who knows what a shit my husband is, but that is because he was my patient the night that my husband smashed his car into a tree when he was drunk and I had to leave to go the ER. The patients room was right across from the desk, he was awake, and he heard people talking about it. He is just supportive of me and tells me I need to leave Shawn because he is never going to get any better. He is kind of a grandfatherly type that always sends flowers to our unit after he has been there, or orders us pizza, so I don't take offense if he says anything about it.

My Obesity Help name is Iam_with_the_band. I found a shirt at the "Postively Jake" store with a dog on it and it says, "I am with the Band" -- Life is good!

Oh My Goodness! You really need to talk to that person's supervisor. She should be ashamed of herself and she needs to be called on this! Want me to call? I will.

Fist of all, OMG! That is my crazy ex's name!! Now I'll need ice cream for sure. Secondly, is this woman an actual nurse?! That is unbelievable. I know we have a nursing shortage but we must draw the line somewhere and keep the crazies out!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
