Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum - Considering Dr. Kirshenbaum

Recommended Posts

I'm looking online for flight/hotel/car packages, and there are OODLES of hotels in the Denver area. I'm just wondering, for all you out-of-town Dr. K patients, which hotel did you stay at? Do you think it's better to be closer to the airport or closer to Dr. K's office? I anticipate wanting to get out and do some walking the day after my surgery, possibly at a mall. Any help is appreciated!

61 days and counting.... :crying:

Where are you having your surgery? I may not be able to help with a hotel, but as a local girl, I sure can help you out on the mall thing!!!

Oops, I guess that's important! My surgery is at Parker Hospital. Dr. K's people gave me a list of hotels that do medical discounts, but if I book flight/hotel/car all at once in the same package, I'll probably get a bigger discount ya know?

If you feel up to it, and want to walk around. There is Park Meadows it is an inside mall. If the weather is being nice, you could go down to Castle Rock and shop at the outlet mall. Both are nice and fun!!

You could get yourself a little christmas gift...smaller clothes!!!

Okay, I am behind on the challenge list but I'll get it caught up tomorrow. Now that classes are in session again I don't have time to play on my computer all day. Dammit. I really like playing on my computer all day.

Brandy it's so frickin' exciting that you're 10 lbs from plastic surgery consult. I dream of the day, let me tell you. If all goes well, I hope I'll be there by sometime next summer so that I can have it done before the start of fall semester.

Jaime, I stayed at the Holiday Inn Select by the hospital in Parker. It was swell. I tried to get a package, but it actually ended up cheaper booking separately and using the medical discount.

Mini~ I KNOW IT!!!! YAY!!!

Unfortunately, there are alot more procedures that I can't afford. I would love to have the lower body lift, but know I can't afford it. I am hoping that we can get insurance to cover the TT and then hopefully make payments on the girls. I am going to use the PS who repaired my dd cleft, so he knows I am good.

It's so nice that you already have someone that you know is good. I think I'll try a local guy here who does LOTS of wls patients. His work looks really good. I'm sure I'll only be able to do TT and the girls too, but that will be so great. I HATE my tummy flap.

Thanks! Trying to save every penny possible, so I'll check it out both ways. And my husband travels a lot for work, and usually stays at a Hampton or a Holiday Inn, so he can earn points if we stay there! :tt2:

If I don't get something done with the girls I'll be able to tuck them into my underwear soon. I swear.

Brandy, your description of your tummy cracked me up. Mine looks like a big white slab of fish or something. It's just gross. TMI- I have to use the hairdryer and dry the underneath side or I get a disgusting rash. Hopefully that will help convince my insurance to pay to have it removed though.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
