I had a great time last night. Patty, Deb and Mal it was great meeting you guys. Mary, Theresa and Dee... it was so much fun seeing you guys again.

Mal..... if you ever want to go for a walk together, just let me know. Maybe a walking partner would get my big butt moving LOL :)

Me too Julie, I just love the comraderie during our night out. Deb and Patty - I wish you didn't live so far away! Deb, you had us laughing all evening, and Patty - you are a gifted artist (not to mention, your taste in jewelry is pretty awesome...).

Hola mi padres!!!

I am still reeling from the gathering at Red Robin on WEST Arapahoe and I-25 last night. Where else can you talk to people about slimes and bat wing fat flaps (arm fat)? and feel among family only more like kindred spirits family than real family. ** and to all of you that were there last night

Mary Mem620

Julie KayleighsMommy

Theresa Laptastic

Deb DebinOregon

Dee PrtyAntOvrYt

Mal Mal

Thank you for making this trip one of the bestest ones ever!!

I left my appt. with Dr. K and drove west just to see the mountains. I kept going and the mountains got bigger and bigger. My goal was white capped mountains.

Great seeing you again too Julie!!! You look great in the pictures!!!

Last night was fun. It was great to put faces with names, and real names with lapband names. I wish you out-of-towners lived here.

So nice meeting you!!! We really must make that Blackhawk Trip!!!

Yeah, but I am thinking that when the emotions go down a bit it will be fine. It seems to be getting better by bits, so maybe I will just wait it out. I don't have the $150 for an unfill here, and can't afford the same for a ticket to Denver. I am just going to focus on Protein Shakes and soft Protein and see if that can get me through. I think I was just freaking out because I was reading a thread about slips. I really believe that I would have more symptoms if it was slipped though.

Ok, I just finished talking with Natalie in the office, and she said since I live so far from Dr K that I can try to wait it out a couple more weeks since it is getting better a little at a time. Just to not eat/drink anything after 7 and elevate when I sleep. So I guess I am just going to wait it out.

I read that waiting 3 hours after your last bite is a good idea - before going to sleep. Head of bed up is always good advice. Emotions always make me tighter! It's very stressful. Keep us posted!

Okay, ladies, I am home, icing my butt,,,i have an appt with orthopedic dr. this afternoon. so "Grace" is getting medical attention.

So, how much fun did we have at RR?:lol::lol: For those who were unable to attend: you missed a good one.

Patty, Mal, Julie, Mary, and Theresa: it was ssooo cool to meet you all. Each of you is absolutely delightful. Dee, being with you is always a good time. Estes Park was fun....for 25 minutes! LOL:tt2:

I think it is very telling about all of us that we, as strangers, can come together and laugh, share, and feel comfortable. That is remarkable in this contemporary judgment-filled world. Thanks to you all for being such strong, wonderful women!

How's Tucker and the other furr babies?

I have a lot of questions, don't I?

I feel like driving 2 hours to hang out in Estes for 24 mins. Interested?

I don't know if it was my 3 days of eating (I didn't eat a whole lot at one time... just more cals to try to jump start my metabolism) but I think my band has slipped . I am so upset about this. I am seeing my surgeon on Tuesday for a "fill" I may be getting a complete unfill.

I really am hoping the cheeseburger con queso I had at RR Wed night just irritated my stomach (though it's not super spicy, I don't do spicy...at all)

Starting Thursday morning, every time I try to eat something solid I get a lot of dull (but intense... if that makes any sense) pain in the band area, as well as pain at the top of my shoulders (mainly on the left side). The pain is only upon swallowing, then it goes right away. No nausea, no reflux, no throwing up. I am tolerating liquids just fine.

I did have this happen once before (a couple of months ago, for a day) but then it went away without any intervention. It has gotten marginally better since Thursday... but is still definetely painful to eat.

I am so afraid I have messed it up. I just don't know what I am going to do if I lose it.

Has anyone else had, or know of anyone having, this type of pain and it was nothing major????

julie

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
