Scale FINALLY moved! Sleeved on 3/19

Recommended Posts

Since my surgery I've avoided my scale like the plague! I read so many stories on here about being discouraged because there's no/not much loss in the beginning. Well this morning, I put my big girl panties on (pun intended) and stepped up there like a champ! Low and behold, I'm down 8 1/2lbs since 3/19! Whoo hoo! *doing the cabbage patch* Hope everyone is doing well!!

I've been getting on daily. I guess I better hide my scale then. My surgery date was 3-19-13 and I'm down 5 pounds. Good for you with 8.5!! Woohoo!

Thank you!! I was 251 day of surgery and 242.5lbs today!! It's probably because I wasn't drinking the Proteins shakes like I should. Now that I'm drinking them like directed I will probably start losing slow or (gasp) gain! Either way it's moving in the right direction!! Lol! Congrats on your loss and your surgery! Wishing you the best!! Whoo hoo!

I lost pretty quick the first 2 weeks, then hit a wall. So, I killed my scale. It is not my friend, it's my enemy. There's no reason for me to fret each day I step on the scale and get pissed off and want to kick my dog. So, in light of resetting everything, my emotions and attitude, I'm not going to let that piece of glass and plastic decide how I feel today. I started weighing only once a week, sometimes not even that. I honestly don't care anymore about weighing. I do what I'm supposed to. I get my calories in, my Protein in, Vitamins, etc and I bust my ass in the gym and during workouts. I know I'm getting healthier, I don't need a number on the scale to tell me that.

Congrats on the weight loss and the beginning of your new life. It's exciting!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
