Typical Day:

Breakfast: 1 egg scrambled with 1/4 c fat free cottage cheese

Lunch: 1 c fat free cottage cheese with pepper

After lunch drink: Protein shake made with 1 c 1% milk

Dinner: 3 - 4 oz of whatever protein we are having for dinner

Snack: (Either mid-afternoon or before bed) 6 oz fat free fruit yogurt.

Chris, how far post op are you?

Breakfast: protien shake

Snack 1/2 cup or 2.5 oz of chili or cottage cheese with banana

Lunch; another protien shake

Snack: another 1/2 cup of something

Before bed another protien shake or protien shot. I don't really get hungry at night so I don't eat if I don't have to but make sure I get my protien.

Breakfast: Protein shake in car on way to work

Lunch: chicken meatballs

Mid afternoon: yogurt with bran Cereal or cottage cheese and fruit

Dinner: pulled chicken in BBQ sauce with melted cheese on top

I'm 6 weeks post-op today.

  • 2 weeks later...

Im three weeks and starving all day everyday

I'm almost 3 weeks out and I am still figuring it out. I can cook but I am a bit lost.

I'm also a chicken so I keep it simple.

Today I ate:

Breakfast: Greek yogurt (smooth kind, vanilla) 6 oz

Lunch: Greek yogurt, 6 oz

Dinner: My first time, I got the TB pintos and cheese. I ate it all. I have not been to TB in years and I do not like FF. I blame you people :P No really, it was really smooth and decent, so I thank you all for that lovely idea. 9g of Protein too.

I will try to get in at least one muscle milk and maybe another yogurt or glass of milk to round out my protein for the day.

I have been eating a lot of cottage cheese but for some reason I end up stopping a little over a 1/4 cup. Last night I was able to do 1/2 cup over a longer period.

I've tried hummus on my cottage cheese but it gives me heartburn right now.

I am 3 and half months post op: breakfast: egg with skim kraft single melted on it, 2 pieces of jenni os turkey bacon and 2oz light yoplait yogurt.......lunch: 2 to 3 strawberries, 15 pieces turkey pepperoni (wilsons) and 1 mozzarella string cheese........dinner: 2 to 3 broccoli florets, 1 turkey sausage link (dirussos), 1/4 cup cottage cheese.........snack: 1/4 cup almonds or 1/2 cup pudding with 2 TBSP of cool whip sugar free or laughing cow wedge with 8 multigrain crackers (sea salt crunchmasters)......this is just and idea of what a day may look like for me.....hope its helpful.......my target calorie intake is 900 (consume 60 grams of protein per day and get at least 60 oz of fluids daily)
