Doing awesome. So happy I did this. I walk alot. Eating some Protein now and drinking fine. I'm pretty lucky. I've seen some of the roadblocks people have been running into. Just stay positive. It will pass!

I was done on the 19th. I've gotten all Clear Liquids in and today I started shakes. I had one vanilla and one chocolate. Later tonight, ill try Soup and add protein... I guess it's trial and error. I'm definitely more full filling with the Protein milk drinks than yesterday's clears. Bo BM yet and I've taken Miralax for 3 days! Scared! Lol doing pretty good though. Finally made it around my block and it has 2 big hills! Yay! I'm down 10lbs from surgery date...

Sleeved on Wednesday. Feel pretty good. The only pain I have is from the largest incision where they took the remains of my stomach out. Doc said they stitched the muscle there. Getting all my fluids in including my shakes. Really happy I did this so far.

Hi there! I still feel pain at that incision too. It's almost gone at this point. How are you doing getting in your Proteins? I've tried but unable to get 60-70 grams in so far. So glad you're doing well and happy with your surgery!! Me too!!

So glad to hear you're doing well! I feel VERY blessed. I've read some scary horror stories and I'm so thankful I haven't had any of those problems. Wishing you the best and thanks for the pep talk!

Yeah, not so good on the Protein yet. I'm getting about 40 grams in but the doc said not to worry about that yet. I think I can squeeze in 60 tomorrow though. Good luck on your journey!

I had my surgery early morning on 3/19. That first day wasn't too much fun but most of the pain was gone once the pain-pump was plugged in. Came home on Thursday 3/21 after spending 2 nights in the hospital. My surgeon wanted me to only have Water on the Stage I day after the surgery. Started Protein shakes on Thursday and haven't had any problems keeping those or other liquids downs. I will say it is strange because sometimes I can "feel" things enter my stomach. I'm not sure if others have experienced this but my stomach is now pretty loud - from gurgling or groaning. Doesn't bother me too much. I haven't really lost much since the surgery date but I blame it on the Water retention and still no BM. I haven't felt hungry at all - in fact the thought of eating makes me a little nauseous.

So far so good. I still have 1.5 weeks of stage II liquids before I get to eat any real food. I am looking forward to biting into something solid.

Good luck to all of you. This is going to be awesome. Just hang in there.

G

I had my sleeve done on 3.18.13. The gas pains haven't been so bad for me. Yesterday was the first day since surgery that I really wanted to eat something. The Protein Drinks are getting harder to get down.

I hate the Protein Drinks so my nutritionist told me that I can have every night a small chicken breast(baked, boiled, rotisserie) & veggies only (no peas, carrots, corn) this help alot.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
