15 Days out and I've only lost 10lbs.

My pre-op weight was 183. I didn't do the pre-op diet. I wasn't disciplined enough to even do a pre-op diet. I had my surgery on 2-28-13. I am now 173. I am 5'2". My goal weight is 125lbs.

Although I am not hungry, I am craving everything. I have found that just smelling or licking the food will take that craving away.

Is it normal that my weight loss is slow? I thought I should have lost more by now.

I am at the high end of starting weights - I was 354 at the time of my surgery (Feb. 25), and have been steadily losing five pounds a week for the last three weeks. I'm at 339 now. That's fine for me. I know that the more I lose, the easier it will be to exercise, and I will need to increase my exercise to keep losing.

This for sure isn't the miracle cure. It's still up to each one of us to use this surgery to our advantage. It will always be work, just follow all your nutritional needs and excersise and you will melt away:)

It's solo true we can make it or break it! The best of luck to you all.

Well I for one have been doing everything as directed to a T and am 19 days post op and lost 7 pounds the first 5 days and not an ounce since.... I just cannot believe it!,,, it's horrible to have gone thru all of this for what feels like for nothing....:(. I am feeling exactly like I always have.. A failure!!!

I felt the same way and i cried and worried for a week. And then someone told me to relax it will happen ur body has to adjust and them it will happen.so after two weeks I'm losing again and the relief was amazing cause this wasn't for nothing and I'm worth it and I'm won't be a failure this time. Hope this helps good luck

One of the suggestions I've seen is to not just go by the scale because everyone had stalls. For those of you who aren't seeing the pounds drop, are your clothes fitting more loosely? Did you measure yourself at the start, and are you perhaps losing inches? Are you getting more exercise so that you might be building muscle mass?

Well, you know how to reply to a forum post, so that's a good start.

Are you trying to start a thread in one of the forums? Are you using the website directly, or one of the apps for iPhone or Android?

Thanks for sharing your wgt loss. I thought I was the only one not losing. It will be one week tomorrow (mon) and I am exactly the same as the day I had surgery. I did gain 7 lbs the 36 hrs I was in the hospital and that has come back off. I am starving on this liquid diet. I am so looking forward to full liquids tues. I have not cheated. Any way I am glad that I am not alone in this slow wgt loss. I am eating so little that it has to come off eventually. Let's hope for a big loss next week.
