Sorry to hear that. I am single and live alone, so I can't imagine what you're going through. Well, maybe a little. I still go to the buffets with a friend on the weekends. And if I find something that really tastes good, I miss being able to eat a whole lot of it. But I try to put a positive spin on it and think, "Ha ha, you can't make me over eat you!"

I am staying with my entire family while i go on this journey and mom cooks A LOT,

While on the preop diet it was killing me but now im 4 days post op and seeing food has no effect on me at all.

Pre-op when it really got to me id eat a sugar free popsicle REALLY slow

oh gosh i know! If i don't see the food i don't want it, but if i see or smell it, omg it's torture. I told my hubby that in 2 weeks, when i can eat food again, i'm going to be cooking so much, even if i can only eat 2 bites of it, that i probably wont have to cook for the rest of the year! Though one thing that has helped me is to suck one sf fruit snack till it is completely dissolved, then if i'm still craving i'll let myself suck on another. It really helps. Hang in there!

I feel ya! I'm starting to want food I didn't even like before the surgery. I'm a vegetarian and KFC looks and smells soooo good now. I'm living on yogurt, cottage cheese, fake meat, and vegetarian chili. I'm 1 month out and I drool over everything!

What helps me is that i take a good smell of it and it work for me lol..and it's just like i'm eating it.,..

I feed things to other ppl and I ask is it good and yes if course and I'm satisfied .. I'm 7 weeks out and it's starting not to bother since I'm eating food now
