I am a type II insulin dependent diabetic. I am 8.5 weeks post surgery and have lost 27 lbs. I lost about 20 in the first 3-4 weeks. The last 4 weeks I've only lost about 7 lbs, really none of that in the last two weeks. scales haven't been moving. I'm very discouraged.
My dr. did say that insulin therapy can slow weight loss but I'm hoping to hear some other stories about this topic and when people did start seeing more results. I have started exercising and trying to get more in recently. My calories are still under 800-900 a day.
Although I take less insulin than I did before surgery, I have not been able to get off of it. I take about 30 of lantus at night and approximately 8 units of regular insulin before meals with carbs.
PLEASE ADVISE!
