feb 2013 sleevers weigh in

Recommended Posts

I am 4.5 months post op Sleeved Feb 27 SW 265 (also highest weight ever) CW 205 so today I am officially halfway to goal...my comfortable weight is 145ish. People are really starting to make comments, although one comment did not thrill me " It looks like someone deflated you" lol. OK. Not exactly what I was going for. But I am happy, I can exercise more freely. All the old clothes in my closet that I used to squeeze into or couldn't get into anymore fit now or are too big. Before, I would not buy anything above a size 18 (in denial big time) but it should have been a 22. Now I wear size 16. I look in the mirror and see this thinner version of me.. and it stops me for a second, and honestly, although I lived most of my life as a skinny girl, it shocks me. Also, Its weird how you see ppl and you know they notice your weight loss and they don't say anything. Thats always awkward. Its usually other heavy girls, they don't want to acknowledge or approach the subject I guess. Anyway that's my halfway point update. Thanks for listening to me ramble on for probably too long.. :)

It's funny I get that awkward comment or stare from other women sometimes too! But mostly it's positive excitement from others. Congratulations on your weight loss!

I feel flabby and I feel like I'm getting thicker, like I'm losing muscle but gaining fat.I haven't been good at tracking my calories lately or exercising. It's been a stress full couple months. I know I'm getting enough Protein in, but never cone close to my Water goal.

Sugary 2/20/13

I'll be 5 months post op on 7/20

Starting weight: 356

Current weight: 281.2

Total lost: 74.8

I hit a stall throughout most of may and June but recently started losing again.

From last Saturday I went from 290 to 281.2 today. So 8.8 pound weight loss in a week.

I didn't have to do a pre-op diet so I didn't lose any weight before surgery.

My goal is to lose at least 5 pounds if not more each week.

Goal is to lose 25 pounds by 8/25/13

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!
