Today is two weeks and one day for me post op! I'm down 29.6 pounds! I am tired most days and I was supposed to go back to work originally today, but I had severe left side pain about four days ago got scared and the doctor signed off on me staying home another week! Started mushy good yesterday! Yummy! Loving the refried Beans, cottage cheese and Greek yogurt and best of all my Protein count has increased tremendously! I can usually eat a 1/2 cup of food it takes me the 30 minutes to get it in!! Feeling less pain in left side today so hopefully I'm done with that! I started at 250 and am 220.4 today! 5' 5" tall

what did the Dr say the pain was cause i'm having it too?

I too had 2 week post check up, I am dehydrated and not getting enough Protein. Atleast I know why I was feeling so bad last few days. Blood pressure low as well. But all easily fixed :). I am down 21 lbs and it's so great. I started 297 today 276.

On a side note I love how all of us openly say r weight, before this u could have offered me a lot of things and I would have never told.. Keep up the great work..

I've hit that week 3 change in weight loss. I had lost close to 30 lbs but gained a few back. I was really bummed at first. But, I'm not worried I read up on it and understand my body is trying to preserve it's stores of fat and Water.

I am exercising more and more. I take the stairs at work about 8-12 times a day. My goal is to do 20-40 mins cardio 3 times a week and alternate days with 3 days light free weights and yoga/pilates exercises.

I'm feeling good - normal. I've come down 2 pants sizes and can tell my body is changing shape. So, I'm just hopeful that things will start moving before too long.

My family has been so supportive! My husband takes pleasure in shopping and concocting new drinks and dishes for me (and him about 50% of the time) to eat. We've taken several family walks/bike rides which my kids are loving. And, on Easter my Aunt hugged me and told me she could see a big difference, the weight was falling off, and she was proud of me. Both my mom and husband see me daily and have commented on how my face is changing and my pants seem or look too baggy like they may fall off. The one down side is that I can tell I'm more hormonal. I can cry at the simplest things. SMH. But despite the freeze on the scale and t he occasional tears, I'm doing well. I'm thanking God every day for seeing me through this, for helping me stay positive, and for giving me supporters.

He didn't say it was anything to worry about, that maybe I just over did it and my stomach staple line was still healing. I had no fever, and no other symptoms other than the pain.

I had an amazing recovery, only sick the day of surgery! The bad news is , I had surgery on 3/8 and I've only lost 11 lbs. :(. As hard as I try, I'm almost in tears over this. I started out at 256 and am down to 245 and I am 5'6" tall. I know I should be more grateful to be losing at all, but it sure is difficult ...I thought it would be falling off like everyone else's ...I'm so disappointed . I've gotten some great advice on here and am really trying to not compare myself to others and only to myself...that's my saving grace right now. Congratulations to all of u that r doing so so wonderfully , and best wishes to those still having pain...

I'm 2 weeks out and I'm a little upset. No weight loss this week. I'm still at 214 but I think I'm bloated about to start period. Still eating every 3 to 4 hours and drinking my Protein. My clothes are fitting very big. I'm obsessed on weighing myself!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
