I'm a week and four days out of surgery and my incision sites are extremely itchy and I get so scared to sneeze because its so painful and I feel like my stomach is going to burst.

Sleeved last Monday. Sneezing is so hard. I keep a pillow close and try to grab it. Coughing is hard. I have drains and I don't think that helps my discomfort.

Does anyone remember what lab work their surgeon did pre-op? My pre-op appt is tomorrow (surgery 3/26) and I'm worried my labs could be too out of whack for surgery!! So I'm trying to figure out what they will actually be testing for so I can reassure myself that there's no reason to be worried. TIA!

I had my pre-op March 4th... I was there all together an hour... I had blood work...... chest x-ray.... and an EKG...... all came back fine except for low level of Vitamin D and low blood sugar because I fasted that morning and I guess you did not have to... when you go in for your testing just relax and you should be fine... Just think, It can't be any worse than the corney Psychologist visit.. that was wierd to me having a stranger talk about my weight problem like she knew what I was going through ?!? You will be fine.. my surgery is March 25th a day before yours ! I can't wait.. bring on the gas !!!!

I'm 4 days out. 11 pounds down. I'm not really focused on the weight right now, as I am too busy trying to stay hydrated and get this friggin gas out. I'm pooping, which is awesome. Love the sf Popsicles. Jello, not so much. And I'm taking my pain meds pretty much every 4 hours. If I don't, the gas becomes a bit too much. Why suffer if the meds take it away? The meds do, however, give me really bad dreams. Can't win for losin! Lol GO US!

I'm 5 days post op and starting yesterday (I posted about it but it's gotten worse) I have been having this burning pain right next to an incision next to my belly button. It's especially bad when in the process of standing up or even slightly leaning forward. But if I lay flat or stand tall n put my hands on my hips (I look sooo idiotic lol) it's goes away. I called doc and left message but wondering if anyone else knows or has this?? Taking pain meds but find it odd that this JUST started. :( feeling like pop

OMG, yes! I had crazy dreams while in hospital & I'd wake up shreaking. Im 5 days post op and haven't had much my system since I had diarrhea pretty much all day yesterday I was afraid to eat anything today. the doctor told me no milk for a week and to eat greek yogurt with my Protein Powder mixed in with it. so I here I am slowly eating my yogurt concoction I made using the non fat unflavored Chobani plain greek yogurt with sugar free strawberry jam & a little Splenda, half a scoop of unflavored Isupure Protein and half a scoop of Lean Dessert whipped vanilla cream protein and it tastes great! let's hope I can keep it in and it doesn't come out quick like yesterday's attempt at a Protein Shake made with skim milk. if I can get it all in it'll be 41.5 grams of protein. not doing well getting my Water and either... guess I need to remind myself to sip sip sip! keep up the good work everyone! I'm fortunate to not really have any pain at all and praying my drain hole closes up soon because that is not fun to look at!~Sarah

Sleeved on Wednesday, March 13th. 5th day after surgery. Feeling good overall. Gas comes and goes, heartburn starting to subside. Walked slowly on treadmill on Sunday. When I put the treadmill on an incline, feel some relief from gas and heartburn, so I'm going to try that. I'm taking one day at a time. Good luck to all this week sleevers and hope all my March post-op folks are doing OK. We are each other's support system and I thank all of you and this site for being there for me!!

This site is my new Facebook!!

I was sleeved on March 12th. Going back to work tomorrow after one week. No more soreness, no nausea, incisions are itching so I know they are healing. No issue with getting all my fluids/protein in. Only issue I am having is I am HUNGRY. How the heck does this happen? This started on post op day 4.

Days 4, 5, and 6 were tough. I thought I was going to starve which is funny to me now. I'm far from that, lol. It got so much easier after making it through those days. Try to get some Protein in. It helps. Good luck to you!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
